Lake Data Report for Rainy Lake - January 6, 2025
This report provides background information on Ontario’s LPP, summarizes and provides analysis for each of the four water quality indicators monitored as part of the program (total phosphorus, calcium, chloride, and water clarity), and provides information on how anyone can act as a steward for their lake. - This paper describes Lake Sturgeon Research that RLC supported at Lakehead University . Co-authors are RLC members.
- These recently published papers describe Wolf research in Voyageurs National Park. RLC supported the work:
- Evidence that wolves use cooperative ambush strategies to hunt beavers.

A spirit of joyful reunion marked the 2023 International Rainy-Lake of the Woods Watershed Forum as we celebrated the event’s 20th anniversary and welcomed the return to an in-person symposium after two years of online delivery. Once again, Minnesota North College – Rainy River, in International Falls, Minnesota was the venue for researchers, resource managers, policy makers and members of the public for the two-day symposium March 8-9.
2023 Flood Update
An International Joint Commission(IJC) public report will be available by Spring covering implications and recommendations for future water level management .
