Members of the Rainy Lake Conservancy meet annually in August at La Place Rendez-Vous on the shores of Rainy Lake just east of Fort Frances, Ontario. This is an opportunity for guests to learn more about the Rainy Lake Conservancy and for members to catch up on the activities of the Conservancy. Each year Conservancy members vote to fill 3-year rotating positions on the Board of Directors, and each year the Board members appoint their Executive Officers for the coming year. The president presents the Board of Director's report, and special speakers address topics as varied as biodiversity studies, fluctuating water levels in the Rainy Lake basin, water monitoring programs, and customs and border regulations for seasonal residents. Following the business meeting, members and guests enjoy a social hour together.
